The Ultimate Supporter

Australia’s achievements at the 2006 World Cup set a platform of anticipation and support for 2010. To help Australian’s show their support we launched a social media campaign, The Ultimate Supporter. Through The Ultimate Supporter application, users were able to reveal their supporter style via their Facebook profile picture.

Supporter types included, The Hugger - who believes personal space has no place at a football match, The Chant King - who didn't set the world on fire at school but their chants are the equivalent of sporting poetry and The Coulda-Been - the child prodigy, cut down by injury in their prime during an under 14's match, their mates still love telling the story about 'their mate that almost made it.'
